How do I shop online?
We try to make the Hepburn and Leigh website as easy to use as possible. You can find all our products using the menu on the left hand side of the page.
You can then see tables of products, or you can click through to see the expanded view of each product. Either way, if you use the drop down boxes you can select the size, colour and number of items you want, and click on the "buy" button. The basket icon is located in the top right corner of every page. You can click on this icon at any time to see what you have selected. You can change the quantities that you have chosen, or remove any item from your basket at any time. You will need to click the "save changes to basket" button to change or remove items.
Underneath the list of products in your basket, you will see a box labelled "voucher or discount code". If you have a code to use, enter it in this box. Once you have everything you need, click on the "proceed to checkout" button, follow the instructions, and your order will be with you just as fast as the post works.
Can I shop over the phone?
Yes! Just give us a call and we’ll be happy to place your order. To make it as fast as possible, please have your credit card details, billing and delivery addresses handy. Our team is available Monday to Friday 9am – 5pm (UK time, either GMT or BST); when we are busy or not here, you can leave a message and we’ll call you back as soon as we can.
Can I see my order?
If you login you can see what stage your order is up to – there should be a link straight to the page in your order confirmation email. It’s the Order History/tracking button, which gives you a list of your orders, most recent first, and then when you click on them you can see all the items in the order.

Can I get help and suggestions with products?
We have a sizing advice section which can help with general queries, a blog which includes frequently asked questions, and each product has an expanded view that includes larger pictures and full written information. If you cannot find the answer to your question, contact us.
Can I order if I don’t live in the UK?
Yes! But there are two things to bear in mind. Firstly, our prices are in British Pounds Sterling (GBP) and include VAT (sales tax), if applicable. Your bank will determine how much you pay in your own currency based on their exchange rates. We take off the VAT if you are outside the EU, but there may be additional customs and import duties due when the items arrive in your country. You are responsible for paying these. We will not mark your items as gifts or samples in order to avoid this under any circumstances.
What can I pay with?
Hepburn and Leigh accepts Visa, UK Maestro (Switch), MasterCard, Visa Electron and Solo cards. “Infonaut” will appear on your statement as the company that takes the payment. Your payment is taken when your order is made.
We can also accept PayPal under certain circumstances, but it is not set up via the website. If you need to pay by PayPal, please contact us. We will need to know which items you would like to purchase, an email address that we can send a PayPal money request to, and a shipping address for the items.
How do you deliver?
We post by first-class mail every afternoon using Royal Mail. We deliver to most of the world and, postal services allowing, Royal Mail says to expect our items to arrive within 1–3 working days in the UK, 3–5 working days in Europe, 7–14 working days for the USA and Canada, and 6–12 working days elsewhere. However, since the USA introduced more security checks, we are finding that this estimate is not accurate, and that 3-4 weeks is more common.
Do I pay for postage?
Yes, but it's the same amount no matter how much you order. Delivery charges are as follows:

Can I return items?
Legally we are only obliged to take returns if the product is damaged or not fit for use. However, we appreciate that its hard when you are buying online to know exactly what you are getting, so we can be flexible. If you do want to return a product for any reason, please contact us within two weeks of receiving the product – preferably via an email – with your order reference, the name of the product, and what the problem is. We will then let you know whether you can return the product (we will generally take returns if they are in their original unopened packaging), and will tell you where and who to send it to. Always get proof of postage for returns. Upon receipt of the returned item, we will give you a refund, exchange, or credit note as agreed.
Can I cancel an order?
Yes, but do it as fast as possible please. Email or phone us as soon as you can to sort this out.
Is your site secure?
We use a secure connection with encrypted details for payment information. You can see the change from http:// to https:// and a padlock symbol in the browser.
If you would prefer, you can place your order by phone.
Will you keep my information private?
Yes! We store as few details as are necessary to help us make your ordering smooth and easy and help us develop new products.
We will not share your details with third parties except as necessary for processing credit-card payments, or when required to do so by law.
Our site uses a “cookie” as the most secure method available for keeping track of whether you’ve logged in, and what’s in your basket. The cookie does not contain any personal or identifiable information, and cannot be viewed or used to track you by other websites.
What do I do if I have a problem?
Just let us know through phone, email or letter, we need you to help us learn. We do our best to answer within two working days of being told there’s a problem.
