Hepburn and Leigh: For the independently-minded lingerie lover

Halloween dressing-up fun

Halloween is always a fabulous excuse to play dress up – witches, vampires, ghouls, pumpkins or spiders, the starting points for inspiration are numerous and the possibilities endless! This year, I’ve had a little fun in rounding up a few loosely Halloween-inspired looks 👻

I absolutely adore these cheeky silk & lace knickers that Ayten Gasson made exclusively for Kiss Me Deadly a while back! The rubber gloves were designed and made by Florence who now runs Torture Garden Latex.

The previous pic was made for giggles, but as an actual Halloween outfit, I thought it would be quite fun to skeletify a cabaret-inspired look! Here, I wear Kiss Me Deadly’s Dietrich cropped waistcoat with the classic Vargas longline girdle, Van Doren pin-up knickers and sheer stockings with black seams. To go out and party, just add the Dietrich pencil skirt.

Witchy vibes with Kiss Me Deadly’s Emerald DeVille set and matching stockings! These green pieces are from a past season, but the suspender belt is still available (as well as the rest of the matching black set). If you want to actually go out trick or treating, slip on KMD’s Star dress so you can still show off your pretty bra. The look is finished off with a cobweb necklace from Prong Jewellery.

A more classic boudoir look starring the Falling In Love Mulberry set by Fraulein Annie worn with KMD stockings (now discontinued) and a beautiful sheer silk robe from Emma Harris Lingerie. More for the indoors type of Halloween do…

Ok, this outfit you can actually wear out… although bear in mind that the side panels of this KMD skirt are sheer! The longline bra with detachable straps is mega versatile (and goes up to G cups), and I further decorated it with a latex flower from Eustratia. Necklace as above.

I couldn’t resist including Playful Promises’ “Ghost” bodysuit (from a past season) in this selection! I added a vintage lace cape over it, but if you want a new one, there’s a selection here. For going out, add the Bettie Page Lingerie pencil skirt and you’re good to go.

A close-up of Kiss Me Deadly’s Dietrich bra, just because I’m fond of a lingerie still life, and chocolate eyeballs are compulsory for Halloween 😊

And if your Halloween party was any good, you should end up like this, with hole-y tights, a rolled-up rubber skirt and your Coco de Mer bra showing and, er, a little worse for wear overall:

Happy Halloween, lingerie ghouls!
