Hepburn and Leigh: For the independently-minded lingerie lover

Underwear as outerwear at Notting Hill Carnival 2017

Apart from the obvious (ie: celebrating our glorious and diverse melting pot, marvellous music, fabulous food and, er, lots of rum punch), Notting Hill Carnival is fantastic for all the underwear and swimwear on display - and I don't mean just the fantastical costumes worn by the dancers on the floats, but the casual outfits of "regular" Carnival goers.

These are just a few looks spotted at my go-to Carnival destination, Gaz’s Rockin Blues. I wish I'd had the hindsight of taking better pictures but hopefully these phone snaps will give an idea of what I'm on about, and of the good vibes!

I loved this lady's outfit, with her blue lace bodysuit over a pink triangle bralet. Denim shorts and a flower crown finish the look:

Paola looked super cute in her sequined bandeau bra:

A pretty longline bralet with lace trim... and view over Strip, one of Notting Hill's lingerie shops (yes, I have lingerie on the mind...):

Maya and I both went for flashing a bit of #GreenForGrenfell bras. Mine is the Kiss Me Deadly's Deville from the sale (now sold out, sorry!). The gold dress I'm wearing is by the fantastic Raine & Bea :)

Thank you Gaz for another fantastic Carnival!
